The destruction of King’s Dominion
Comic book: Deadly Class No. 48
As Marcus got older, he began to plan the destruction of King’s Dominion and the death of Master Lin. Marcus finally got the opportunity to do just that. Before he could deliver a death blow, however, his former friend Saya stops him. Without Master Lin, she can’t take over the Yakuza. The two fought and Saya gained the upper hand. Before she could kill him, though, the school began to collapse. Marcus was left unharmed, but Saya and Master Lin were trapped. Marcus left Lin to fall with his school and saved Saya. He then passed out after escaping. When he woke up, Saya was gone.
Why is this important?
This had been a long time coming. Marcus wanted to destroy the school that caused the death of people he loved. If this writer is being honest, he never thought it would happen. At the very least, not until the last issue. Yet, here we are.
The school may be destroyed, but the story isn’t over. We don’t know if Master Lin is dead. Until we see a dead body, assume he’s alive. Saya was gone. She may have gone in to save him. She needs him alive to take over the Yakuza. Or, she could be hiding and waiting to kill Marcus for ruining her life. Even if none of that is true, we need to know what’s next for the families that were invested in King’s Dominion. They’ll certainly be after Marcus for starting the coup and getting their kids killed.
