What If…?: 5 burning questions fans need answered from episode 9
By Mark Lynch
4. Does Party Thor take anything serious?
Party Thor was a god with one goal in life: He wanted to have fun. It’s funny that the only reason this happened was because he wasn’t raised with Loki. Otherwise, he’d be more serious. When Uatu brought Party Thor onto the team, you’d assume Thor would take things more seriously. Well, you know what happens when you assume.
Party Thor did show that he was as good as you’d think. He was a battle-ready God of Asgard who’s worthy of his title. Nonetheless, he still joked and messed around more than he should have. His battle cry, “Viva Las Vegas” while attacking Ultron was reckless. Thankfully, none of the heroes died because he attacked prematurely.
3. What if…? Captain Carter met Captain America
Peggy Carter became Captain Carter in her reality because Steve Rogers never received the Super Soldier Serum and became Captain America. Regardless of their stories’ differences in this timeline, they still fell in love with each other. It was great seeing Steve not having any resentment towards her for taking his place. It would have been unlike him.
Doctor Strange tells Peggy that Steve Rogers is Captain America in his former universe. She seemed to be intrigued by that. It made this writer wonder what the two of them would have been like if they met. Not romantically but as protectors of their world. Their combined heroism and need to help could be enough to bring peace everywhere they went.
