Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart play Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper on Riverdale but have they ever dated in real life?

Riverdale is one of the most popular TV shows in the world right now. A staple of The CW’s schedule in the US since its debut in 2017, it reaches a global audience through its international broadcast on Netflix and that has single-handedly turned it into a global phenomenon.

There’s a lot to love about Riverdale (and a lot that just doesn’t make any sense) and one of its most beloved aspects is the many couplings at the center of it. From “Varchie” to “Choni”, Riverdale has seen a lot of iconic pairings over the years, but arguably the most popular “ship” of them all is “Bughead”.

The relationship between Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper has been a mainstay of the show since season 1, and even though they have temporarily parted ways in the show’s fifth season, it’s clear that “Bughead” is still very much endgame.

Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart were indeed in a long-term relationship that is began back in 2017. While they are both private people, they eventually shared their romance with fans on social media through various posts that featured pictures of the two of them together.

However, their relationship ended in early 2020. Sprouse confirmed the news via an Instagram post in which he revealed he and Reinhart had decided to take a break in January of that year before officially splitting in March.

Cole Sprouse is reportedly dating Canadian model Ari Fournier. The pair were first linked earlier this year when they were spotted holding hands while out and about in Vancouver, Canada (where Riverdale is filmed) before Cole then seemingly confirmed the relationship on Instagram.
