She-Hulk was in control all along
Comic book: Avengers No. 49
When She-Hulk was captured by the Winter Guard, this writer thought that she was actually being controlled. A She-Hulk on the side of the enemy isn’t good for the heroes. The following issues of Avengers showed her going on a rampage and beating anyone in her way. It all leads to her going to kill Namor. After she gets to Atlantis, we see that she was actually in control of her mind the entire time.
Jennifer Walters and T’Challa knew what the Winter Guard was up to. T’Challa had Ursa Major on the inside. while She-Hulk offered to go and infiltrate the Winter Guard. Despite T’Challa being apprehensive, everything worked with flying colors.
Why is this important?
She-Hulk made a dangerous decision being taken by the Winter Guard. Being bitten and drained by vampires and having her gamma drained could have backfired. Thankfully, it didn’t. When this is over, she’ll have some decisions to make.
Even when things work out, the Avengers are going to look at things with She-Hulk differently. She’s been erratic since her powers have increased. They’ll have questions about where her head is. It’s doubtful she’ll be kicked off the team, but it wouldn’t be shocking if he quit. She may take time to herself after going through this last ordeal.
