Disney Plus Day is sure to be an event that Marvel and Star Wars fans won’t forget! But what are we expecting from the event?

To commemorate the two-year anniversary of the launch of Disney Plus, Disney is hosting a special event to celebrate the streaming service, increase the content you can find on it and tease some of what’s to come in 2022 and beyond.

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the event, but what exactly can Marvel fans expect from it? Well let’s find out.

Disney Plus Day start time

Disney Plus kicks off Disney Plus Day at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET. with the release of highly-anticipated Marvel movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on the service. The movie performed incredibly well at the box office and received overwhelmingly positive reviews, so those who haven’t seen it are excited for it to join the majority of the MCU movies on the platform.

The livestream itself will then begin six hours later, kicking off at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET. That means it will start at 2 p.m. GMT in the UK, 3pm CET in Europe and 7:30pm IST in India.

Announcements to expect at Disney Plus Day

No official announcements have been, well, announced in advance of the Disney Plus Day event. However, there are some that fans are expecting to see. With that in mind, here’s what you should keep a lookout for.

On the Marvel side of things, there could be trailers, first looks or artwork dropped for any one of the upcoming shows.

Will the Ms. Marvel trailer be released on Disney Plus Day?

Ms. Marvel, which was supposed to premiere early 2022, was the obvious choice for a trailer at the event but now that we know it won’t arrive until Q4 next year, it seems unlikely now.

That said, don’t rule out some kind of sneak peek or artwork to keep fans intrigued.

Will a new Hawkeye trailer be released on Disney+ Day?

Hawkeye is next on the Marvel Cinematic Universe horizon, with its premiere coming on November 24, so we could get another sneak peek of it.

There have already been two trailers unveiled for it, so another full-length one seems unlikely. But a short teaser or clip seems logical given that so many people will be tuning in.

Will a Moon Knight trailer be released on Disney Plus Day?

Moon Knight remains one of Marvel’s most mysterious projects and it’s probably the one we know the least about. We don’t know if we’ll get a trailer for it at the upcoming Disney+ event, but now that we know Ms. Marvel has been pushed to later in the year, a new Marvel show could very well take its place in early 2022. If it’s Moon Knight, expect a trailer to be released.

Either way, a look at Oscar Isaac in the suit might be a nice way to keep fans excited for the mysterious series.

Will the first She-Hulk trailer be released on Disney Plus Day?

Another project fans are keeping an eye out for is She-Hulk. We know the upcoming Tatiana Maslany-led Incredible Hulk spin-off series will premiere in 2022, but we have yet to get our first look at it.

With early 2022 now needing a new Marvel series to fill the slot Ms. Marvel was expected to occupy, it could be She-Hulk‘s time to shine. Regardless of whether a trailer is coming, we might still get some kind of first look since we haven’t really had anything from the show yet outside of set photos.

What Marvel announcements are coming on Disney Plus Day?

Other than the expected announcements in regards to those aforementioned Disney Plus shows, what else can Marvel fans expect at Disney Plus Day? Well, again, it’s hard to tell since the service hasn’t confirmed anything beforehand, but don’t rule out some more announcements in regards to Secret Invasion and Ironheart given that they were announced at last year’s Disney Investor Day.

Moreover, we could also get some second season announcements. We know Loki and What If…? will return, but is there any future for the likes of HawkeyeWandaVision or The Falcon and the Winter Soldier?
