Hawkeye: 8 Marvel Comics characters that could appear in season 1
By Mark Lynch
5. Valentina Allegra de Fontaine
Valentina Allegra de Fontaine is all but guaranteed to appear. She has more than enough motivation here. She’s been recruiting non-powered superheroes for a team she’s building. First in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and again in Black Widow. She would definitely take a shot at bringing in Echo, right?
If she makes an appearance, then maybe U.S. Agent (John Walker) will show up as well? After all, he was the first person we saw Valentina recruit. It would make sense for him to show up with her in New York. Plus, it would remind viewers that he exists. It’s doubtful Walker left a lasting impression in his debut.
Moreover, with Yelena Belova set to appear, it seems likely that the woman who sent her after Clint would have a role to play in Hawkeye.
4. Barney Barton
Here’s a fun fact for you. Clint Barton has a brother in Marvel Comics named Barney Barton. He’s also known as Trickshot and thinks he’s a better archer and marksman than his brother.
If Valentina is still looking for recruits, she could be aiming for (pun intended) for Barney. She knows there’s no chance Clint would join her. However, if she can’t, Trickshot is the next best thing. Look for him during one of the final credit scenes.
3. Sharon Carter
Sharon Carter went from being an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. to the clandestine Power Broker. Carter’s reach extends further than Madripoor. She has information that people all over the world need and desire.
With that in mind, it wouldn’t be too hard to believe that she may have wanted something in the secret auction that was prematurely broken up. If this is the case, she’ll undoubtedly have words for whoever’s responsible.
