2. Whose identity is hidden?

The auction robbery in episode 1 of Hawkeye wasn’t about Ronin’s costume or sword. They were looking for a watch left at Avengers’ compound. From that moment, we knew it was important. We didn’t know why until now. If the wrong person gets hold of that watch, someone’s cover will be blown. But, whose identity is in trouble?

There are a lot of people that could be hiding. That number gets whittled down when you see that Maya Lopez has a personal stake in it. If this writer had to guess, it’s someone that’s connected to Maya and Wilson Fisk. No, it’s not Mephisto.

1. Did Ronin actually kill Echo’s father?

We saw Ronin assault the Tracksuit Mafia in Maya Lopez’s flashback in the third episode. However, Maya’s father was dead when Ronin left, but we didn’t see him get the kill. Marvel has a habit of making things that seem obvious not be so blatant. This is one of those moments.

Could someone else, perhaps Kazi, have killed her father?

Maya’s father probably didn’t want her to know someone from his crew killed him. This would put her in danger with them and Wilson Fisk. Since Fisk killed her father in the comics, he may have put the hit out in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
