Is Dane DeHaan in Spider-Man: No Way Home?
Spider-Man: No Way Home will see the returns of plenty of familiar faces from previous Spidey movies, but will Dane DeHaan’s Harry Osborn be back?
The Green Goblin will once again bring terror to the skies in a Marvel movie. That’s right, Willem Dafoe will be back as the evil Norman Osborn, reprising his role from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. But will he be the only Goblin to appear on-screen before the credits of Spider-Man: No Way Home roll?
The upcoming 27th Marvel Cinematic Universe film sees the title superhero turn to Doctor Strange for help. With Peter Parker’s identity public, life as he knew it is over. But with the assistance of the Sorcerer Supreme, he hopes to rewrite reality, undo the damage and get his life back. The catch? The spell that Strange casts goes horribly wrong.
With the multiverse crashing through into the MCU, it’s up to Spider-Man and Strange to correct their mistake, but that might be easier said than done with the arrival of former Spider-Man villains Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Sandman, The Lizard and Electro.
With familiar faces from both the Sam Raimi Spider-Man saga and the Marc Webb Amazing Spider-Man film series, could we see the return of more characters from either one? Another Goblin, perhaps?
Is Dane DeHaan’s Green Goblin in Spider-Man: No Way Home?
It’s unknown if Dane DeHaan will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but of all the potential cameos, he seems the most unlikely.
DeHaan portrayed Harry Osborn in 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and, when asked about if he’d be interested in returning to the role in Spider-Man: No Way Home, he revealed that he’d be more interested in working on a new project than revisiting his former role.
If you’ve seen that film, you’ll know that Harry Osborn inevitably becomes the villainous Green Goblin and sets out to take down best friend Peter Parker. Fans thought his Goblin might resurface in No Way Home when the second trailer revealed a figure that looked vaguely like his character from afar, but that ultimately proved to be Dafoe’s Goblin in his new suit.
