Poison Ivy

There is a moment in Batman: Fear State Omega that made the entire series worthwhile. Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn are finally together. We see the two of them cuddling in Eden and resting after all the carnage. After Catwoman leaves, Ivy wakes up and has a talk with The Gardener. She’s beyond upset with her for taking a part of Ivy’s mind without her consent. She also tells her that she’s not a hero or a villain and that what she does next will be without her.

"“I am Poison Ivy and I will do what is in my power to save the world, in my own way.”"

What’s next for Poison Ivy? G. Willow Wilson (co-creator of Kamala Khan) tweeted a photo of Poison Ivy from Gotham City Villains oversized issue. The part that should grab people is the caption that says “Poison Ivy’s story blooms in 2022.”

Wilson went on to tweet, “I cannot answer any questions beyond what is here in this tantalizing little hint! More info in good time. Stay tuned.”

A Poison Ivy series is long overdue. Ivy has been one of DC Comics’ most interesting characters for years. If G. Willow Wilson is part of it, this will be a must read title. 2022 can’t come fast enough.
