The season finale of Hawkeye on Disney Plus will debut soon and right on time for Christmas. Speaking of, we don’t know if Clint will make it home for the holidays. That’s not the only thing we have to worry about either. There’s a lot of concern going into the last episode of the season.
Viewers want to know what’s up with Wilson Fisk. Of course there’s the joy that Vincent D’Onofrio has returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the character, but we need to know his relationship with Eleanor Bishop. Why would she work with him? Is it a relationship of convenience, is he threatening her, or is this how she maintains her fortune? And did she get Yelena to attack Clint on Fisk’s orders or because Kate was getting too close to the situation?
What about Jack Duquesne? We saw him getting arrested at the end of episode 5 for having ties to criminal activities. He says he doesn’t know anything about it. Just because he doesn’t know about his name being used doesn’t mean he isn’t a criminal. Because he’s so trusting, he may have been the fall guy.
Then again, maybe Jack is another one of Fisk’s hired henchmen. Jack Duquesne is Swordsman in Marvel Comics. He could be Swordsman in the MCU as well.
Hawkeye, Kate, and Echo
Lastly, we have the heroes of the show. Clint Barton and Kate Bishop. What will happen to them at the end of the season? Will Kate officially become Hawkeye? Will Clint continue to train her? Does Clint retire after this season? If Eleanor’s mother really is bad, how is she going to react? If Kate turns her in, Kate loses all of her money and resources (not to mention her mother). In the comics, Kate doesn’t rely on the money as much. Perhaps this could be the start of her becoming a private investigator? Maybe she’ll team up with Jessica Jones.
Clint put on his Ronin costume and gave Maya Lopez the fight she wanted. After defeating her, Clint took his mask off and told Maya that her Uncle, Wilson Fisk, informed him of her father’s operation. Without that info, Clint wouldn’t have found him. Now Maya has to decide if she believes him or keeps her trust in Uncle Wilson.
We’ll also find out whether or not Kazi knew about this as well. He’s the only person that Maya trusts. There may be feelings of romantic love as well. However, it may not be reciprocated. If that’s the case, it could make Kazi turn on her. This would likely lead to Echo on Disney Plus.
