4. Will Lieutenant Anderson become a problem?

The Superman and Lois season 2 premiere introduced us to the D.O.D.’s new boss Lieutenant Mitch Anderson (Ian Bohen) and it didn’t take long to notice the tension between him and the Man of Steel. The pair clashed over Superman’s refusal to pledge his allegiance to America as he would prefer to remain a hero of the world – something that Anderson didn’t take too kindly to.

As a result, Clark was dismissed and essentially replaced by some of the gifted students that the D.O.D. were training at their school – right down to the House of El symbol on their chest.

While Clark and General Lane clashed regularly, there was always a point at which one could reach the other (usually with the help of Lois). With Anderson, though, there is no reaching him. And that could become a problem if he, or his students, begin to get in the way.

Something tells us that Anderson is just getting started.

3. Will Natalie bond with Lois (and the Lane-Kent family)?

Natalie Irons came to Earth-Prime to be reunited with her father, but the season 2 premiere made it quite clear that she was struggling with the fact that she was on a parallel earth. Not only was her mother’s doppelganger happily married to Superman with twin sons, her best friends didn’t recognize her because, quite frankly, they weren’t her best friends.

Meanwhile, Lois was struggling with the guilt over not saying anything to Natalie when she first arrived and decided that the way through that was to be there for her now. And with that, the two started to bond, with Natalie and John Henry agreeing to stay on the Kent farm for a little while as they got settled in Smallville more permanently.

Let’s hope this is the start of something special for the Kent-Lane-Irons family.
