These 15 comic book characters will affect Marvel and DC Comics in 2022 in a major way.

2021 was a good year for comic book fans. It didn’t matter if you were an avid Marvel fan, a DC fan, or you were into another property altogether; there was always something big going on. And 2022 will be no different.

We’re undoubtedly going to see a lot of comic book characters become even bigger stars, have incredible wins, and even tragic defeats. Some of their prominence could be down to future projects in movies, TV and streaming services while others will be based solely on their appearances in the comics.

Of the hundreds of characters in Marvel and DC Comics, these fifteen are the ones to pay close attention to in 2022.

15. Wolverine

Logan is one of comic book’s biggest stars. For decades, he’s been the X-Men’s overprotective big brother. Being part of Krakoa hasn’t changed that. In fact, he’s actually become more protective. However, with everything that has gone on with the new mutant island, his stories have gotten lost. That’s going to change in X of Lives Wolverine and X of Deaths Wolverine.

According to Marvel.com, “Past and future will collide” in X of Lives Wolverine and X of Deaths Wolverine. It looks like it will be as major as Powers of X, House of X, and Swords of X. The preview released ahead of their arrival features Wolverines from different parts of his life; maybe even other timelines.

Marvel has also reported that it “will kickstart the new year with bold revelations and exciting developments not just for Logan but for all of mutant-kind.” On that note, it will be nice to see another Wolverine story that affects all of mutant-kind.
