Thor just became Marvel’s strongest character

Thor became the strongest hero in his most recent Marvel Comics issue.
For the last year in Marvel Comics, Thor has been having issues with his hammer Mjolnir. He tried everything he could to make his trusty hammer work properly but it just wouldn’t happen for him. It got so bad that even the unworthy could lift it. For crying out loud, Tony Stark was holding it! Even Stark knows he isn’t worthy.
In Thor No. 20 and 21, we finally found out what was going on. It wasn’t just the Asgardian prophecy of the God of Hammers. While Mjolnir was in the sun (see The Mighty Thor No. 705 for more on that), it bonded with one of Asgard’s greatest threats, the Mangog.
So, on top of Mjolnir being one of the most powerful weapons in existence and sentient, it’s with one of the toughest beings in all of comics. But all was not lost for the God of Thunder.
The Odin-Force is with Thor
In Thor No. 22, Odin tells his son two secrets. The first was that what the God of Hammers said was true: Everything that’s happened is Odin’s fault. He knew how creating Donald Blake and Mjolnir being sentient was something he should have taken care of. The other thing he mentioned was that the only way for him to gain the Odin-Force in full is for him to be gone for good. Then, there’s a bright yellow flash. Odin’s life force dissipates and enters into Thor, who is now officially the All-Father of Asgard.
People may not know the kind of power that the Odin-Force holds. It’s an ability that he’s used to create life in some Marvel Comics stories. He’s also used it to help him defeat beings of extreme power. Now, on top of being the God of Thunder, the powers from his mother Gaea (the mother of Earth), he has the Odin-Force. Well, it will probably be called the Thor-Force now.
