Superman and Lois and Riverdale are coming to PaleyFest LA
The CW will be bringing two of its most beloved shows, including Superman and Lois, to PaleyFest LA.
PaleyFest LA is back in person! The legendary TV festival is renowned for featuring special panels, announcements and behind-the-scenes conversations with the stars of some of the biggest TV shows of our time, and it is now set to return as an in person event for the first time in three years.
The Paley Center for Media has revealed that the 39th annual edition of the event will run from Saturday April 2 right through Sunday April 10 and it will all take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Speaking of reveals, the line-up features a number of major TV shows, including NBC’s This Is Us, AMC’s Better Call Saul and Netflix’s Emily In Paris. It also features some intriguing panels from some of our favorite comic book shows that air on The CW.
With that in mind, let’s dive into the CW panels and look at what you can expect from each of them.
Superman and Lois
Date: Sunday, April 3 (2:00 p.m. PT)
Superman and Lois has quickly become the biggest show on The CW, launching a whole new era for the Arrowverse by placing the spotlight on two of the most iconic comic book characters of all time. With that in mind, it’s no surprise to hear that the show will headline its own panel at Paleyfest.
The panel will feature a Special Preview Screening selected for this event by the producers of the show. That will then be followed by a conversation and Q&A with showrunner Todd Hellbing, as well as cast members Tyler Hoechlin (Clark Kent / Superman), Elizabeth Tulloch (Lois Lane), Jordan Elsass (Jonathan Kent), Alex Garfin (Jordan Kent), Erik Valdez (Kyle Cushing), Inde Navarrette (Sarah Cushing), Wolé Parks (John Henry Irons / Steel) and Adam Rayner (Morgan Edge / Tal-Rho).
Superman and Lois‘ second season is currently airing on The CW and deals with the Kent-Lane family’s attempt to stop both the deadly Bizarro and the mysterious Ally Allston. It was recently renewed for a third season.
Riverdale
Date: Saturday, April 9 (2:00 p.m. PT)
Riverdale found immediate success on The CW and quickly went on to become one of the most popular TV shows in the world. Now in its sixth season, the mystery thriller still confuses and confounds fans on a weekly basis as its beloved characters desperately try to save their ill-fated town.
Arriving on PaleyFest LA’s second weekend, the Riverdale panel will feature a Special Preview Screening selected by the producers. That will then be followed by a Q&A and conversation with showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, KJ Apa (Archie Andrews), Cole Sprouse (Jughead Jones), Lili Reinhart (Betty Cooper), Camila Mendes (Veronica Lodge) and Madelaine Petsch (Cheryl Blossom). Additional guests are set to be announced at a later date.
Riverdale debuted on The CW in 2017 and streams internationally on Netflix. It was recently renewed for a seventh season by The CW.
