It’s an exciting time for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the franchise looks to spawn a new adventure centred on one of the most beloved Marvel Comics heroes yet to appear.

Moon Knight will tell the story of Steven Grant, who is seemingly one of the many identities within Marc Spector, a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder. However, those personalities (and potentially more) find themselves in the midst of a mystery involving Egyptian gods, leading to the origin of a crime-fighting vigilante known as, yes, Moon Knight.

Undoubtedly Marvel’s most mysterious story yet, the show is expected to push the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from a Marvel Cinematic Universe installment. Can we expect a more mature offering from the MCU?

How long is Moon Knight season 1, episode 1?

Moon Knight‘s series premiere reportedly clocks in at 45 minutes. That’s on average for US TV programming but it does make the episode a little shorter than the average runtime for Marvel shows, with most of the Disney Plus live-action offerings usually hitting 50 minutes for premieres and finales.

That said, the Marvel shows do tend to pull back on lengthy runtimes in the middle of their run, so perhaps Moon Knight is starting as it means to go on.

Moon Knight premieres on Disney Plus on Wednesday, March 30, at 12:00 a.m. PT and 3:00 a.m. ET.
