Where is Moon Knight filmed?
Moon Knight is finally upon us. However, where is the Marvel Studios / Disney Plus series filmed and set?
A new era has begun for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Well into its fourth phase of storytelling now, the Marvel Studios franchise has very much hit the reset button, playing the long game as they press pause to place the focus on new heroes. In some cases, that’s exploring a beloved hero we have barely gotten to know in previous silver screen showdowns, but in others, it’s meeting a whole new hero altogether.
Moon Knight is the latter. Following in the footsteps of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Eternals, it will spotlight a character we aren’t familiar with in the MCU and kick off their origin story. The first Disney Plus show to do that, it stars Oscar Isaac as the titular vigilante and his multiple personalities, including the joyous Steven Grant and the mercenary Marc Spector.
It’s clear that the show will be one of the most vivid installments from the MCU, exploring both Egyptian gods and various aspects of Marvel mythos we had yet to see on-screen.
It’s also incredibly vivid from a visual standpoint, leaving viewers wondering where it was filmed.
Where was Moon Knight filmed?
Some of Moon Knight may take place in London, but it was primarily filmed in Budapest, Hungary, with various exterior locations in the country being used as stand-ins for London (such as the Museum of Fine Arts serving as exteriors for London’s National Gallery). As well as that, filming also took place in Szentendre, Jordan, Slovenia, and Atlanta, Georgia.
It goes without saying that the beautiful filming locations have already made an impression on viewers from the trailers alone.
Moon Knight streams new episodes on Disney Plus every Wednesday for the next five weeks.
