The first comic book week of April was a big for Marvel Comics fans.

A slow comic book release week is good for the wallets of comic book readers. A big week is great for reading. The first week of April was the latter, particularly for Marvel.

For example, we have the conclusion of Marvel Comics’ Devil’s Reign. Wilson Fisk got away with murder, Daredevil is starting a new life, and so much more happened in one issue.

But that wasn’t the only big moment in comic books. Here are some other ones fans should know about.

"“I’m powerless when my team needs me, and there’s no greater hell than that.” – Wolverine"

A test for X-Force

Marvel Comic: X-Force Annual No. 1

Readers have known about Orchis being a problem for mutants since House of X and Powers of X. Their goals have been to destroy mutants and protect humans. However, in the future, not even humans are safe from the machines. In X-Factor Annual No. 1, readers learned what Orchis’ next step is. Orchis is running tests to see how mutant powers respond to certain dangers. Their first tests involved Wolverine, Domino, and Kid Omega. If not for Domino’s powers, they would have died.

The worst of this didn’t come from Orchis, it’s Hank McCoy, a.k.a. Beast, who was aware that this was a trap and let it happen anyway. He wanted to know their weaknesses as well. They escaped with the data and Beast was happy.  This could be why Hank was curious about Wolverine at the conclusion of X Deaths of Wolverine. However, when it ended, Kid Omega hinted that he was skeptical about Hank’s motives.
