Marvel Comics news in brief (April 9, 2022)
By Mark Lynch
"“If any of you want out, now’s the time” – Moon Knight"
“Execution by gentrification”
Marvel Comic: Moon Knight No. 10
Moon Knight has been trying his best to be a better person. Those attempts include not torturing people anymore. He may still be a killer, but only the worst of the worst get that treatment. He’s even spared a vampire (read Moon Knight No. 1 for more on that). His attempts to be less like his old self were being achieved until a person close to him (his therapist) was kidnapped.
When Moon Knight caught up to Waxman, his ruthlessness returned. Moon Knight took a guy who doesn’t need to breathe or eat, covered him in cement, and left him to be buried under a condo. He also gave his team a second to leave and they didn’t. Now, they’re off to find Zodiac.
"“It is not I who requires forgiveness.” – Omega Red"
Omega Red returns
Marvel Comic: X-Force No. 27
After everything that Arkady Rossovich, a.k.a. Omega Red, did during X of Lives Wolverine, you’d think that the Quiet Council of Krakoa would be okay with the character staying dead. Even Hank McCoy gave a report on why he shouldn’t be resurrected. The Council would have agreed if Sage hadn’t walked in and told a side that the Council didn’t know about. She mentioned that they, the X-Force, erased Arkady’s mind and left him to be an unknowing double agent. With that new information, Arkady was brought back to life.
It’s important to note that Beast was completely against it and went to Arokka to see his ex-girlfriend Abigail Brand shortly after. We didn’t see what they talked about, but there’s no way the conversation ended after the hug. They’re both people who are willing to go far for what they believe in. After what Beast did in X-Force Annual No. 1, we know he may have no limits at all.
