6. Avengers: Age of Khonshu

Writer: Jason Aaron

Artist: Javier Garrón

For years, no one knew if Khonshu was real. Even in a universe full of gods, mutants, and beings that eat planets, people just thought Marc was crazy. In their defense, he does speak to two other people in his head. However, in this Avengers series we find out that Khonshu is real and holds powers that can help him rule the world.

With Khonshu’s help, Moon Knight beat Iron Fist, Doctor Strange, Thor, and stole Ghost Rider’s Hell-Charger. In the end, Khonshu lost his avatar’s faith. Moon Knight took the power of the Phoenix Force and defeated his god. Soon after, the Avengers beat Moon Knight down for taking over the world.

7. Moon Knight

Writer: Brian Michael Bendis

Artist: Alex Maleev

In this series, Brian Michael Bendis takes Marc Spector’s crazy to new heights. Jake Lockley and Steven Grant weren’t his personalities this time. They were replaced with Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Captain America. Marc did more than just see and talk to them as if they were physically there. He also adopted their personalities and fighting styles when they took over.

Despite the silliness, this is a fun series. Bendis brought his well known sense of humor to a dark character. Moon Knight wasn’t carving crescent moons into people’s heads. He was being discrete for the first and possibly only time in his life. Add Alex Maleev’s art to the series and you have a fantastic run.

Moon Knight streams new episodes of its first season on Disney Plus on Wednesdays.
