Khonshu

If you ask this writer who his favorite character on Moon Knight is, he’s gonna say Khonshu. At first, he seemed like a narrow-minded god. He was entertaining and F. Murray Abraham has done a grade-A job voicing him. In episode 3, viewers saw that there was more to him. Khonshu was willing to risk an eternity in stone if it meant that Ammit wouldn’t be set free.

Khonhu’s disdain for incompetence, need to succeed, and powerful voice (thanks to F. Murray Abraham) makes for the perfect guide and narration throughout a video game. It’s easy to picture him helping you throughout a campaign. Sometimes it would be helpful.

He could tell you to put on the suit. Other times he’ll say disparaging like, “You were just defeated, worm” or “You’re going the wrong way, moron.” Sure, that may not be helpful, but it would definitely be funny.

Then there’s the sound and text when you die. Picturing being defeated by a villain or failing a puzzle and all you hear is Khonshu saying something depreciating and it being said in multiple ways. It’s enough to annoy the gamer and make them want to prove them wrong. It’s the perfect combination.
