Invincible season 2 is not coming to Amazon Prime Video in October 2022
Invincible season 2 is still happening, but we unfortunately won’t see new episodes premiere on Amazon Prime Video this month.
It has been well over a year since the first season of Invincible premiered on Amazon Prime Video and the world hasn’t stopped talking about it since. If we’re being totally honest, people were already talking about it long before it premiered. It’s as if they knew it the heights it was destined to reach.
And why wouldn’t a show like Invincible be successful? It is, after all, based on a critically-acclaimed Image Comics series by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, with the former also being heavily involved in bringing the show to screen. The stars aligned for Invincible because it was met with nothing but love when its first three episodes premiered on Amazon back in March 2021.
The eight-episode debut season didn’t run for too long, but in that short amount of time, fans of the comic and new fans in general made the most of it, praising it for its bold creative choices, mature storytelling and loyalty to the source material. They also spent a lot of time making it known that they wanted a second season. Thankfully, Amazon Prime Video obliged by renewing it for a second and third season.
With all of that in mind, it’s certainly safe to say that
Invincible
season 2 is on its way. The unfortunate part is that we’re not going to be seeing the series return this month. That might not come as a surprise to you but
have confirmed that
Invincible
won’t be back this month.
Does Invincible season 2 have a release date?
It still hasn’t been confirmed as to when Invincible season 2 come out, but if there aren’t any significant updates soon, a 2023 release date is looking more and more likely.
An unexpected winter 2022 release isn’t entirely out of the picture just yet, but given that there haven’t been any major updates throughout the summer months – and not-to-mention the fact that animated series can take a lot of time to produce – a 2023 release date is looking more likely right now.
