The God of Thunder returns to cinema screens very, very soon. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Marvel movie Thor: Love and Thunder.

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to grow, we are seeing both new and old heroes make their presence felt on the big and small screen. The Disney Plus shows have been all about building up new heroes (or re-establishing underrated ones) and that’s a trend we are seeing continue into 2022. The films, however, are thus far focused on bringing back some of the MCU’s biggest stars.

Following in the footsteps of the remarkably successful Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessThor: Love and Thunder hits screens shortly.

The film will once again see Chris Hemsworth reprise his role as the God of Thunder in what will be his fourth solo outing as the character (and ninth overall).

Below, you’ll find all the up-to-date information you need about

Thor: Love and Thunder trailer

The trailer for the upcoming fourth Thor movie premiered on April 18, coming after a lot of questions were raised about its premiere date. When it did arrive, though, it quickly sent the internet into meltdown, with questions revolving around the absence of Loki, the presence of the Guardians of the Galaxy and excitement over Jane Foster’s return in her Mighty Thor persona.

A second trailer is set to premiere tonight, during Game 4 of the NBA finals.

What is Thor: Love and Thunder about?

Thor 4 will see the God of Thunder question his future as a warrior as he declares that his superhero days are officially over. However, when a new threat emerges – one far more deadly than the vast majority of foes he has faced over the years – he may need to wield his axe, Stormbreaker, one more time. And he may require a lot of help to stop this great evil.

The official synopsis is below:

"The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late."
