Magneto joins the Arrako Council

Comic book: X-Men Red No. 3

In Immortal X-Men No. 1, Magneto resigned from the Quiet Council of Krakoa. In X-Men Red No. 1, he explains his reason. He felt like he’s had too many failures recently and that he did all he could for Krakoa. This causes him to move to Arakko to live out the rest of his days. That rest was short-lived. Storm recruits him to join her Brotherhood. In X-Men Red No. 3, Sunspot talks Magneto into fighting Tarn for his place on the Arrako Council. Magneto battles Tarn in the arena and wins but it may have been Sunspot’s help that did it.

There’s a mutant called Isca the Unbeatable. Her mutant power is to never lose. Sunspot knew this. He told her he had a way to make her lose without losing. He did that by betting her that Tarn would win. With that, Isca’s powers would make Tarn lose. Magneto wins and Isca kills Sunspot for making her lose. Don’t worry. Sunspot will be resurrected after.

Why is this important?

Isca already detests the mutants of Krakoa. With the exception of Storm, she finds them weak. Sunspot tricking her will cause her to become more aggressive against Krakoa. It could also drive her to make all the votes go in her favor. Unfortunately, there may not be anything that Storm or Magnero can do about it.
