Ms. Marvel kept getting better as the series went on. Kamala Khan thought having powers would be fun. Then she got them and realized that with great power must also come great responsibility. Cliché, but true. She was forced to grow up and make tough decisions on the fly. Among them was ruining her brother’s wedding to protect everyone from the Clandestine – something she regrets, but had to be done.

Iman Vellani has been everything you’d want from the lead role and Kamala Khan. How she portrayed the character’s evolution has been the most impressive. She showed how determination, practice, and being forced into a situation can make someone learn quickly. That’s a good thing for Kamala. She’ll need to bring everything she’s learned into the season 1 finale of the Disney Plus show.

What to expect from the Ms. Marvel premiere

The season 1 finale will finally see Kamala get her Ms. Marvel costume. Don’t be shocked if Bruno has been working on it and it survived the explosion. He’s smart enough to create fibers that can withstand fire.

Second, Kamala will have a showdown with Damage Control. They’ve been trying to capture her since they found out she exists. What they want from her remains to be seen. Sometimes, this is a fake out. Not this time. Damage Control wants Ms. Marvel (or Night Light as she’s being called) for their own selfish reasons.

Next there’s Kamran. He now has his mother Najma’s powers it seems. Once he finds out that she’s dead, he may look for someone to blame. Perhaps he’s going to point the finger at Kamala even though she tried to stop Najma from trying to enter the portal. Look for him to join or start a group called Lineage. Or maybe call himself Lineage.

Lastly, there will likely be a mid or end-credit scene. This could be where fans a tease for The Marvels. Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) or Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) may even make an appearance. Whatever is threatening them will be mentioned here. Or, and this won’t shock anyone, there could be a skrull sighting. They will absolutely be a part of The Marvels‘ movie, right?
