Agatha: House of Harkness is one of Marvel’s most exciting upcoming releases. But don’t expect it to hit screens this month.

Marvel Studios is continuing to break the mold of television with its various Disney Plus offerings. Each one its own unique installment in the revered Marvel Cinematic Universe, the shows spotlight various characters that either didn’t get the spotlight they deserve on the big screen or had yet to appear at all.

Arguably the most successful of those shows was the first. WandaVision received acclaim from fans and critics who were in awe of the show’s ability to reinvent not just the MCU but what was capable on the small screen.

While the limited series understandably won’t be producing a second season, a spin-off focusing on Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness is in the works.

It will be some time before the show hits screens, so don’t be expecting to watch it this month. If you were unsure of that, Disney Plus has released its line-up for July 2022 and the show is understandably not on there. That said, when can we expect it?

Agatha: House of Harkness release date predictions

Agatha: House of Harkness is expected to begin production in Atlanta, Georgia in January 2023, with filming taking place until May.

It was initially rumored to begin filming in October 2022, but either way, that obviously rules out a 2022 release for the Marvel Studios series. But what about a 2023 release? Taking the filming process, post-production and possible reshoots into account, the earliest we could see the show debut on Disney Plus would likely be late-2023. However, it’s looking more likely that the spin-off will make its presence felt in 2024.

Given how popular Agatha Harkness / Agnes was on WandaVision, it’s no surprise that Kathryn Hahn (who was nominated for an Emmy Award for her performance) will headline her own series. Let’s just hope that it isn’t too long until we’re humming “Agatha All Along” all over again.
