Black Adam

Black Adam is another DC character not well known outside of comic book fans. This solo movie was decades in the making predating the merger, Walter Hamada, and the DCEU.

Dwayne Johnson is leading the way with expectations of making Black Adam into a household name and more. Black Adam adds layers to DC by introducing the Justice Society of America. Of course, Warner Discovery can add a prequel movie about the JSA to the list.

Given how passionate Johnson is about the film, it’s safe to say we’ll see him return for a sequel — if not more. Black Adam isn’t said to be a direct spin-off from Shazam, but fans of DC comics understand how his story ties to Billy Batson. There aren’t any plans for a Shazam and Black Adam movie, but that will change. Smart money says that Warner Discovery will make Shazam’s third installment a Shazam vs. Black Adam movie.

There’s no reason not to have the anti-hero and hero face off. Shazam is a clean-cut hero who admires Superman, which differs from the cut-throat hardcore hero, who will probably want to wipe the earth clean of evildoers. Another angle is Black Adam’s hatred for Shazam who abandoned him. Between that and the violent tendencies of Black Adam, we expect the two to come face-to-face.
