DCEU: Lucas Till stuns as The Flash in jaw-dropping image

Lucas Till has long been a fan-favorite to play The Flash in the DCEU, and it’s easy to see why in this epic image. 

The Flash is one of DC’s premiere superheroes. The Scarlet Speedster has been a regular presence in DC Comics since the 1940s but he’s also become a regular presence on both the small and big screens in the past decade, with both The CW’s ultra-successful The Flash TV series and the character’s role in the DCEU ensuring that we’re talking about Barry Allen more than ever.

While the series has been a major success, it’s been harder to get the film off the ground. It has gone through a number of directors and creative teams (with even some character recastings along the way), and with the DCEU itself in a state of constant resetting, it just felt like it was never going to come to fruition.

In recent months, the future of The Flash has been questioned for different reasons. The film has indeed completed production, but the recent controversies surrounding the lead actor Ezra Miller’s arrests have raised questions about whether Warner Bros. Discovery should go ahead with the release of the film, especially after the company controversially cancelled Batgirl.

With Ezra Miller’s future in the franchise now in question, there has been speculation that another actor could be brought in to replace them in the DCEU going forward. And one of the names at the top of that rumored list is MacGyver star Lucas Till.

What Lucas Till might look like as The Flash in the DCEU

The awesome image comes from digital artist subi.ozil, who posted it on their Instagram page. It seemingly takes inspiration from an image of Grant Gustin from The Flash TV series and reimagines it with Lucas Till’s likeness, as the Scarlet Speedster readies himself to run. And it really highlights what Till could look like in the role.

Speaking of Till, he’s no stranger to larger-than-life roles, having played the title character for five seasons in CBS’ MacGyver reboot. He’s also familiar with the superhero genre, playing Havok in Fox’s X-Men film series.

Is Lucas Till replacing Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DCEU?

As of right now, Warner Bros. Discovery has not confirmed if Ezra Miller will be replaced in The Flash movie or the DCEU in general. While names like Lucas Till, Dylan O’Brien and Grant Gustin have been rumored as potential replacements, it seems that Warner is planning on releasing The Flash as it is, with Miller in it, with speculation that they will be subsequently written out of the universe after that.

The film could be delayed again as Warner Bros. considers its options (and it seems that the fact Miller was recently charged with felony burglary may have made them weigh up options on how to move forward), but recent comments from CEO David Zaslav certainly suggest that they plan on releasing the movie.

With Till being a long-time fan-favorite choice to play the role, it goes without saying that he’d be a great choice for the role. In the meantime, though, it’s best to wait for official confirmation from Warner Bros. in regards to the future of The Flash.
