The Boys season 4 filming updates: Eric Kripke teases start of production

The Boys season 4 could be starting production in August and that’s good news for fans of the show.
The Boys on Amazon Prime doesn’t waste time. Soon after the season 3 finale aired on Amazon Prime Video there were a couple of major announcements.
First, the name of The Boys spin-off was announced. It was officially given the name Gen V. The “V” is for Vought. Vought International always makes sure to add that letter in all of their ventures. It’s brilliant branding even if the company is fictional.
Second was the new cast members Susan Heyward (Orange is the New Black) and Valorie Curry (The Following). Hayward will play Sister Sage and Curry is Firecracker. In that same report, fans learned that Cameron Crovetti (Ryan Butcher) is getting upgraded to a regular cast member.
These kinds of announcements keep the show in the minds of fans. Sometimes it’s random reports and other times it’s their social media team releasing behind the scenes footage on Instagram and Twitter. This way the show will always be in their fans’ minds.
The Boys season 4 production is set to begin
It’s barely been a month since the season 3 finale of The Boys and it looks like production for season 4 is set to begin.
On his Twitter account, The Boys’ showrunner Eric Kripke posted a picture of himself preparing for a flight to Toronto where the show has been filming, with “#season 4” and “#TheBoys” in the accompanying hashtags. There’s also Jack Quaid, who plays Hughie Campbell, who posted a picture on his social media saying, “Ah s**t, here we go again. #Season4 #TheBoys”
Both of these posts show that everyone’s favorite supe bashing team is about to begin filming. That means trailers for season 4 could come as early as spring 2023 with the show returning in the fall.
The previous seasons have gotten better as they’ve gone on. There’s no reason to think that the next won’t continue the trend. Fans can also assume that more fun and interesting things will be reported as time goes on. Hopefully the news will include Jensen Ackles will reprise his role as Soldier Boy at some point in future.
