Greg Berlanti could be on deck as a possible choice to oversee the DC Extended Universe for Warner Bros. Discovery.

Fans of the beloved Arrowverse and DC comics may soon finally have something to cheer for. Recently David Zaslav, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery hosted the company’s quarterly earnings call where he announced that DC films would be putting a ten-year plan together. Now, according to a new report from Variety, it seems that the company is on the hunt for their very own version of “Kevin Feige” to oversee operations for DC Films.

Of course, this is easier said than done as this role would be big shoes to fill as they would be in charge of figuring out the future of the DCEU. One name that has been in the discussion is Producer Greg Berlanti.

Could Greg Berlanti become the DCEU’s Kevin Feige?

Berlanti would be no stranger when it comes to playing in the world of the DC Universe as he is best known for being the mastermind behind The CW’s Arrowverse. Berlanti oversaw shows such as ArrowThe FlashDC’s Legends of TomorrowSupergirl and Batwoman. Additionally, he was the executive producer for shows such as Black LightningDoom PatrolStargirlTitans, and Superman and Lois. Greg has also worked with countless animated shows as well. If anybody has a resume worthy of knowing their way around fan favorite superheroes Greg Berlanti certainly stands out to fans.

Zaslav stated that they have a ten-year plan in mind which is similar to what Bob Iger and Alan Horn have done with Marvel Studios. Alan Horn has also recently entered the Warner Bros. Discovery team giving fans a slight sigh of relief as he boosted the Marvel characters to stardom on the big screen.

While it is all rumors this news is perhaps a light at the end of the tunnel for the company and fans alike.
