1. More established DC characters

Since the merger, Warner Bros. Discovery canceled more films than Twitter. That said, heartbreaking loss of Batgirl aside, some of those projects felt like they were coming much too soon. Films like Nightwing, J.J. Abrams’ Superman reboot, and The Wonder Twins shouldn’t have been on the table. There are several other heroes we should see in live-action who have more ties to the Justice League, while also building the universe for films to come.

Green Arrow needs his origin story told, whether it’s on the streaming service or the big screen. Who knows, maybe the Black Canary film can introduce him as the spoiled billionaire before he gets stuck on the island? Martian Manhunter already exists in the DCEU, so why not get him a film? He could segue to the Green Lanterns. Speaking of, we still deserve a proper Green Lantern film.

Meanwhile, Cassandra Cain just got her intro in Birds of Prey. There’s a story we need to see happen on the small screen that could tie into the DCEU Batman. It could also bring the League of Assassins into the DCEU — Lady Shiva owes the Demon Head a child. Cyborg should also get a film of his own. We should also see the introduction of Dick Grayson’s Robin. Eventually, we can get a new Batgirl film.

Even with all of the cancellations, DC has a chance to step up big time and make up for the disappointments of years past.
