Killing Dick Grayson instead of Jason Todd

In Batman v Superman we got a glimpse of a Robin suit with “HA HA HA Joke’s On You, Batman” painted across it. Every DC Comics fan, casual or otherwise knew exactly what that meant Jason Todd was dead. Well, the millions of us who thought that was as wrong as a criminal who didn’t think Batman would kill them. It turned out, that Snyder took a different approach and killed Dick Grayson.

There’s a side that argues it was his vision to kill Dick Grayson because of the impact it would have on the audience. The tactic was arbitrary.

In fact, the only reason fans knew it was Dick Grayson who died was because Snyder himself said it. The foundation Snyder put in place makes sense his story didn’t. This was more of an Elseworld type of story, but Warner Discover can rectify it.

From now on, the Robin who died could be referred to as Jason Todd. We can get Nightwing in the DCEU. It’s time to revisit that idea and tell a prequel story killing the right Robin, Jason Todd. Warner Discovery has a chance to tell Batman: A Death in the Family the right way. In fact, they have a perfect blueprint in Batman: Under the Red Hood.
