Was this a good move by DC Comics?

Sometimes things can look too bleak. Darkseid with a Yellow Lantern Ring seems like an impossible feat to overcome. Not to mention that the New Gods and Supergirl are infected as well. To top it all off, they defeated Brainiac so badly that he had to go to Earth to get help. It may seem like the heroes will come out on top, but that may not happen.  That’s the beauty of stories like this. You never know how things will conclude. However, there is one thing you can count on in DCeased. Writer Tom Taylor will give readers a fantastic story.

Tom Taylor (Nightwing, Injustice 2, Superman: Son of Kal-El, and more) could do whatever he wanted because this isn’t Earth Prime. That was shown back in issue No. 1 of DCeased. Batman was turned right after he told the Justice League what they were facing. Soon after that, Alfred was forced to kill Bruce. That wouldn’t happen on Earth Prime. It’s too dark for readers, but perfect for this Elseworlds-like series. It’s why Darkseid getting a Lantern Ring isn’t a bad idea. There’s no guarantee that this will have a happy ending.

Don’t be shocked if this leads to Anti-Life Equation infection coming to Earth Prime. If anyone can stop this onslaught, it’s the heroes of Earth Prime. Or, maybe something happens and someone destroys the entire universe to stop the infection from spreading. We’ll have to wait and see.
