The Boys season 4 will be coming to Prime Video, but don’t expect the fourth season of the series to arrive in November (or even this year).

From the moment season 3 of The Boys came to a close in July, fans have been eagerly awaiting the fourth season of Prime Video’s Emmy-nominated superhero drama. The good news is another season is indeed coming, the bad news is it won’t be coming in November.

With November upon us, Amazon has confirmed its full programming lineup for the month, and The Boys season 4 is not on the list. While this might be disappointing, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as season 4 is still in production and won’t be ready for release in 2022.

The Boys season 4 release date predictions

Production on The Boys season 4 began on Aug. 22, 2022, and production on the show has typically taken five to six months. Should this trend continue with season 4, it’s likely the show will be under production sometime in early 2023.

Depending on when exactly filming on the season wraps, it’ll take a few months for production to wrap on the season before it premieres on Amazon Prime. Due to the amount of effects that go into making the show, it takes several months to put the finishing touches on the show after filming concludes which means it’s likely we won’t see the new season arrive until Summer 2023 at the earliest.

What seems more likely is that season 4 will premiere sometime in the fall of 2023, perhaps following the release model season 2 took with the new season beginning in September.
