Is Superman in Titans season 4? (Who plays Superman in Titans?)

The Titans season 4 premiere name-drops the Man of Steel, but is Superman actually in the show and, if so, who is playing him?

Minutes into the Titans season 4 premiere, Dick Grayson drops a major revelation on Conner when he reveals that Bruce made some calls and that Superman would like to meet Conner. With Bruce’s help, he’s arranged for Conner to meet Superman at STAR Labs which means a detour to Metropolis for the Titans.

It seems almost too good to be true, after all, we’ve heard Superman name-dropped before but we’ve never seen the Man of Steel directly on the show across its first three seasons.

The show has found ways to incorporate other iconic characters such as Batman and The Joker, so does Superman become the latest iconic DC Comics character to enter the Titans universe this season?

Does Superman appear in Titans season 4?

In the season premiere of Titans season 4, Bruce Wayne arranges for Conner to finally meet Superman at STAR Labs and the Titans quickly chart a course to Metropolis. Sadly, when Conner and the team arrive, he’s informed that Superman was called away and cannot meet him as planned.

Instead of appearing directly to meet with Conner, Superman is forced to leave him a letter that hints that he’d still very much like to meet with him once his mission is complete. As for when that meeting take place? Well, we know it doesn’t happen in the first two episodes as Superman does not appear in either episode of the show.

While Superman does not directly appear in Titans season 4 episodes 1 or 2, we do get an appearance of sorts from the Man of Steel.

When the Titans arrive at STAR Labs, the camera focuses on a massive statue built in the likeness of Superman which Conner admires before heading into the building. Although not the same as an actual appearance from Superman, the statue does provide us with our first glimpse of what the Superman of the Titans universe looks like and could also have been used to foreshadow his arrival later this season.

Who plays Superman in Titans season 4?

Although Superman does exist in the Titans universe, the character has not yet made a direct appearance on the show so there is no actor currently attached to the role.

That said, if we do see the character appear in person this season it’s likely he will be played by a new actor and not an actor who has previously appeared in a DC project as the Man of Steel such as Henry Cavill or Tyler Hoechlin. Given the focus on Conner and his relationship with his fathers the season is set to take, we’d be surprised if Superman didn’t make an appearance on the show in some capacity this season.
