It’s almost time to see Black Panther 2. If you’re heading to the movies to see it this weekend, here’s how long you can expect Wakanda Forever to be.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe fans will come together to honor the legendary Chadwick Boseman when Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in movie theaters.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, the sequel to the Academy Award-nominated 2017 film will pay tribute to Boseman as well as the iconic character he played T’Challa. And in doing so, it will see the people of Wakanda come together to honor their king, his legacy and the Black Panther.
The film will also see the beginnings of a new hero, as it appears that someone close to T’Challa will take on the Black Panther mantle, and protect Wakanda from Namor.
Black Panther 2 will be a big one for the MCU, and if you’re curious about how long the film will be, then you’ve come to the right place.
How long is Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever?
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has a runtime of 2 hours and 41 minutes (161 minutes). That is significantly longer than the 2 hours and 15 minutes runtime of the first Black Panther movie, and it also makes the sequel one of the longest Marvel films ever made, with only the three-hours-long Avengers: Endgame being longer.
It’s not surprising that the film is so long given all of the layers to its story. Not only will it pay tribute to T’Challa and focus on his family’s grief as they attempt to honor him, it will introduce a new villain in Namor, a new hero in Ironheart, and of course, a new Black Panther.
Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever may be a lengthy movie theater experience, but it will undoubtedly be worth it.
