Titans season 4 episode 7 release updates: When does the show return?

The mid-season finale of Titans season 4 is upon us. When will the DC Comics show on HBO Max return? 

Despite everyone’s best efforts, Sebastian Sanger has become Brother Blood on Titans season 4. The Titans were unable to stop his mother, Mother Mayhem, from getting her hands on him, and now he has become the entity they were all fearing he would.

It’s also worth remembering that in this season viewers find out that Starfire’s former mentor Zadira wants her to kill Sebastian to stop the end of the world. She goes as far as to show her a possible future where she and Dick Grayson have a daughter. She even says that Starfire was born to kill Sebastian. If this writer had to guess, this season will end with her having to kill him anyway.

The upcoming seventh episode of season 4 (the midseason premiere) is titled “Dude, Where’s My Gar”. That hints to Beast Boy disappearing in the mid-season finale, most likely into the Red where Garfield saw the tree full of animal skulls and is linked to a possible tragic future. Jinx mentioned that not a lot is known about the Red. Look for Gar to disappear there and for Raven to get him back. This could be where Raven gets her powers back or where she gets new abilities.

When could Titans season 4 return?

Titans will return from its mid-season break in 2023. HBO Max has yet to set a more specific window but it isn’t all bad news for fans of DC Comics shows on the streamer. While Titans is on a break, the popular Doom Patrol will be taking over for its fourth season.

Like Titans, Doom Patrol season 4 will air its first two episodes at once on December 8, 2022. After episode 6 streams on January 5, 2023, the show will take a break until the second part of the season.

The likely return for part 2 of Titans season 4 will be after Doom Patrol. You would think HBO Max would want to keep the DC momentum going after airing one of its popular shows, so it would make sense to bring it back soon afterwards.

If we had to predict, Titans season 4 could come out after the Harley Quinn Valentine’s Day special. Harley Quinn usually streams on the Thursday slot that Titans and Doom Patrol will be using, so after Harley’s special (if it does indeed premiere on a Thursday), there will be no fighting for the slot.
