The Winchesters season 1, episode 8 release date: When does the show return from hiatus?

The Winchesters will get a new start time after the December 6 mid-season finale. Here’s why this is a good thing and when the show will air.

The Winchesters hasn’t quite had the momentum that Supernatural did yet. Considering that the show is a spin-off of the popular TV program starring Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, this is a bit of a shock. There hasn’t been a lot of buzz surrounding the show since its premiere. However, the mid-season finale, episode 7 “Reflections”, could be the change that gets people interested.

After weeks of chasing their tails, the gang finally has a lead – which we saw in the previous episode. Normally, an ending like this would lead right into a mid or regular season finale but it leads into a one-week break. Now, the midseason finale has arrived and it will aid The Winchesters going forward. There could have been some changes to the episode that will help bring in new viewers and keep the faithful. Something else that’s going to provide assistance is a new start time when the show returns in 2023.

When does The Winchesters season 1, episode 8 come out?

Episode 8 of The Winchesters airs on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. When it returns, the program will start at 9pm E.T. instead of the previous 8pm timeslot.

This writer is choosing to look at this as a good thing. Sometimes something as simple as a new start time can be change that’s needed. They may not go up against a more popular show that’s on at the same time slot. Or the show that precedes them could help lead viewers into watching The Winchesters. Sometimes it’s that simple. And if it’s the highly-rated Superman and Lois that takes back its 8pm timeslot, that is a good thing.

Whatever the reason, it will hopefully help The Winchesters get better ratings. There is so much potential in the show waiting to be unlocked, especially with characters like Ada, Latika, and Carlos.
