Is Black Panther 2 coming to Disney Plus in December 2022?

Black Panther 2 is coming to Disney Plus in the near-future, but can fans expect it to debut before Christmas?

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has undoubtedly been one of this year’s biggest and best movies. The long-awaited film was the 30th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but more than that, it was a chance for Marvel Studios to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman.

It did that by focusing on T’Challa’s family in the aftermath of his death as all of Wakanda sought to honor their beloved hero, and they did that by carrying on his legacy and protecting their loved ones from Namor.

Needless to say, Black Panther 2 received positive reviews from critics and a strong response from fans too. It has also been a huge success at the box office, grossing almost $772 million thus far.

But for audiences who didn’t see it in movie theaters, when can they expect it to debut on Disney Plus? Will it be here this year?

Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever Disney Plus release date predictions

If you’re hoping for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to premiere on Disney Plus this month, we should start by saying that’s not going to happen. The streamer recently unveiled a teaser for some of the titles coming in 2023, and Black Panther 2 was featured among the clips. Thus, it will debut next year.

Marvel Studios usually gives quite a bit of notice before the MCU films premiere so that it feels like a major event whenever they do. With two weeks left of December (and the year), it was unlikely that Black Panther 2 would arrive before its over.

Taking the fact that Marvel Studios movies typically have at least a 45-70 day theatrical window before they can be made available for streaming, the earliest possibilities for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to make its presence felt on Disney Plus would be January 2023.

As always, that’s just a prediction and it’s best to wait for Marvel Studios to make an official announcement before expecting Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on the streamer.
