Ability to feature more X-Men characters

Marvel Studios has a proven track record of casting talented actors who are able to bring their characters to life on screen. With a strong cast and a focus on character-driven stories, the MCU’s X-Men franchise has the potential to be successful, even with a lower budget.

By staying true to the characters and their unique tones, and by focusing on character development and story, the MCU can do the same with their upcoming X-Men films, they don’t have to break the bank to do it. That’s something we didn’t get from the Fox franchise outside of a few films.

A low-budget X-Men franchise would be a cost-effective way for the MCU to expand its universe and introduce new characters and storylines. The X-Men comics are full of diverse and fascinating characters, and a low-budget approach would allow the MCU to explore these characters in a more affordable and sustainable way. One way could be as a mini-series that introduces several X-Men. The old X-Men franchise missed the boat on excellent stories and misused a few characters.

Fans expected X-Men Origins to be a thing — it never happened. We got Wolverine and that was it. Magneto had part of his story told throughout the series, but an origin story would have been amazing. Gambit wasn’t used at all, and Wolverine doesn’t count. He’s such a pivotal character that he deserves to be featured. Mystique also deserves her own mini-series along with Rogue and Destiny. The list goes on.

Bringing the X-Men into the MCU as a low-budget universe is a win-win situation for both the X-Men franchise and the MCU as a whole. Imagine the X-Men being rebooted and reinvented in a way that is true to the spirit of the comics, while also providing the MCU with a cost-effective way to expand its universe and introduce new characters and storylines. Build towards the big-budget team-ups instead of starting with them.
