Amazon Prime Video’s The Legend of Vox Machina releases three episodes a week. A method that may help shows bring in more viewers.

Ever since Netflix changed the way people watched shows, TV channels and  streaming services have tried to find new ways to release content. Streaming shows like The Boys on Amazon Prime Video along with Titans and Doom Patrol on HBO Max started putting out multiple episodes on the premiere day. This was a smart way to get people involved. The first episode is not always enough to get fans involved; adding a second or third episode usually does the trick.

Amazon Prime Video’s The Legend of Vox Machina takes it a step further. Instead of only premiering with more than one episode each week, the show will drop multiple episodes a week throughout the season.

If you’ve never seen The Legend of Vox Machina, it’s a near flawless animated series that will surprise anyone going in. Imagine Guardians of the Galaxy meeting Lord of the Rings except there’s more cursing, drinking, and mature content. It’s also smart enough to keep people interested by being so much more than that. The characters are intriguing and their growth is well done. Despite it being a fantastic show, it may fly under the radar. This is why giving viewers three episodes a week is a brilliant idea.

Three episodes a week is something that more Amazon Prime Video shows should do. A show like The Legend of Vox Machina leaves viewers with a cliffhanger after every episode. Now, you can binge three episodes without having to wait a week for the answer to one resolution.

Even if viewers don’t watch it all at once, it’s easy to spread out three episodes in seven days. This will satisfy the people who want a continuous watch as well as those who enjoy weekly releases. Plus, it won’t be on for an extended period of time. Twelve episodes in a month is a fantastic move. Look for more shows to adopt this method if it works. Especially on Amazon Prime Video during a busy streaming season.

It’s bingeing but with a weekly dose of new episodes thrown in too!
