The Last of Us episode 4 release date: When does the next episode come out?

Episode 3 of the HBO adaptation followed in the footsteps of The Last of Us video game as viewers met Bill and Frank. There’s no doubt in this writer’s mind that Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett were incredible in their roles.

There have been differences in some of the ways that the show has adapted the game. The Last of Us video game’s writer and director Neil Druckmann revealed in an interview with The New Yorker that, as “awesome” as the third episode is, “there are going to be fans who are upset by it,” alluding to some of the changes that the show has made to the source material. This writer hopes that fans of the game will give the changes a chance. If it makes for good television and stays true to the game, the alterations should be embraced.

Episode 4 will likely be where Ellie becomes more than just cargo for Joel. We’ve seen the two only begin to connect so fat, but soon he’ll start to look at her like his daughter. When that happens, you’ll see an overprotective Joel. Not only is she the key to the survival of the world, but his love for her comes into play towards the end of the game – something that will undoubtedly happen in the series too. A moment that some fans understood and left others furious.

When does The Last of Us episode 4 come out?

The Last of Us season 1, episode 4 premieres on both HBO and HBO Max on Sunday, February 5, at 9 pm ET, 8 pm CT, and 6 pm PT. The times and dates will remain the same for the show throughout the rest of the series’ current run, with new episodes releasing every Sunday until the season finale. Unlike Titans and Doom Patrol, The Last of Us will not be split into two parts. The HBO Max show will continue to release new episodes until the season finale.
