Who plays Bill and Frank in HBO’s The Last of Us?
The Last of Us episode 3 introduces us to Bill and Frank, but where have you seen those faces before? Who are the actors who play them?
The Last of Us has only been on for two weeks, and it’s already introduced us to some incredible characters. We knew we’d fall in love with our protagonists Joel and Ellie (especially since they are played by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey), but Tess proved to be an important and memorable addition to the show that we quickly connected with. As did Sarah and Tommy, who appeared in the premiere.
The Last of Us might only have two main characters but one of the most thrilling aspects of that is not knowing who they are going to run into throughout the series. This week, it’s Bill and Frank; the two people the show has mentioned multiple times now. And it’s clear from those references that Joel and Tess had a history with them.
If you’re eager to know more about who plays them, or perhaps you recognize those faces, here’s what you need to know about the actors portraying the duo.
The Last of Us Bill and Frank actors
Bill is portrayed by Nick Offerman. If you recognize Offerman, it’s not surprising; the man has a ton of credits to his name and has most likely popped up in at least one of your favorite movies or TV shows. His best known role, however, is undoubtedly as Ron Swanson in NBC’s Parks and Recreation. He has also appeared in Fargo, The Founder, The Resort, and The Kings of Summer.
Frank is played by Murray Bartlett. A veteran of his craft, Bartlett has appeared in Australian soap operas such as Neighbours, and Home and Away before having a regular role on American soaps All My Children and Guiding Light. He has also played regular roles on HBO’s Looking, and Tales of the City. In recent years, however, he is finally getting the recognition he deserves with an Emmy-winning performance on The White Lotus, and major roles in Welcome to Chippendales and The Last of Us.
Both actors are nothing short of spectacular performers and we can’t wait to see them bring Bill and Frank to life.
