Writer Robert Kirkman says the live-action Invincible project is still being worked on. While this may not be a good idea, it could work with other characters and teams within the universe.

People waited for a long time to get an update on when season 2 of Invincible on Amazon Prime Video would be released. On January 20, the creative team did what they’ve been known to do: They announced season 2‘s release window in an innovative and somewhat frustrating way.

On the innovative side, it was announced via a teaser with Mark Grayson (Invincible) and Allen the Alien eating at Burger Mart. It was funny and fans could see that the animation was even better than before. The frustrating part is there was no actual date for the show’s return. Nevertheless, at least we know it’s coming.

Less than a week after season 2 announcement, more news about the Skybound Entertainment and Image comic was teased. Invincible writer Robert Kirkman gave an update on the comic’s live action project. During an interview with comicbook.com, Kirkman said, “We’re very much still working on that”. He also acknowledged that things like this take time saying,

"“Sometimes movies take a little bit longer. I think it’s safe to say, if anything, the show has just helped that immensely. People are very excited about that movie potential at Universal. So we’re riding that excitement and trying to push things forward as quickly as possible.”"

This writer is a huge fan of the comic book series Invincible. In fact, he’d go as far as to say it’s the greatest comic book series of all time. That being said, a live-action project focusing on Mark Grayson isn’t a good idea.
