The Boys season 4 may not come out on Amazon Prime in February 2023, but more news of the spin-off Gen V could be coming soon. Plus, there’s always the comic books.

Season 3 of Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys concluded with Billy Butcher only having months to live, Annie January (Starlight) joining The Boys, and Homelander killing someone as his fans cheered. With an ending like that, fans must be anticipating season 4. Sadly, everyone will have to wait a bit longer. Season 4 won’t be returning to Amazon Prime in February of 2023. There is good news. There are more than a few things to get into while you wait for the show to return.

First, you can rewatch the series. There are currently three seasons of The Boys on Amazon Prime and an animated series called The Boys Presents: Diabolical. Each of them are worth rewatching while you wait. Rewatches will help you see things that you may have missed the first time around. With this show, there are both silly and important things that will be important going forward. Plus, you’ll be refreshed when the show starts again.

Second, there’s also Gen V to look forward to. This is a spin-off of The Boys where Vought International runs a college specifically for people with powers (what could go wrong). We recently got our first look at it in a trailer of the show, and another one will likely be coming soon (hopefully with an update on when the show will be released). Keeping up with Gen V will be important since it takes place during season 3 of The Boys. There’s no way the events of that show won’t affect things that happen in season 4.

The Boys season 4 release date predictions

As for when The Boys season 4 could come out, a mid-late 2023 release is looking like the earliest possibility. The show has been filming its fourth season since August, and some cast members are beginning to wrap, suggesting that it might conclude soon. Once that happens, post-production will take place, but that will probably take some time given the type of genre show that The Boys is.

If you’re a fan of updates, the social media team behind the show does a fantastic job of letting fans know what’s going on. When new people are cast, you’ll see them announced on the show in creative ways. Sometimes it’s with pics and other times it’s with videos. Both are always entertaining.

There’s also their YouTube channel that gives news from The Boys universe, produce fake movie trailers, music videos, and commercials. A-Train, The Deep, and so many others have graced YouTube with hilarious fake endorsements.

Lastly, and this writer’s suggestion, check out the comics. The original source material may be too brutal and diabolical for all readers. It’s full of mature subjects and language that could be offensive. However, if you’re courageous enough to venture into the comic books, it’s worth it. The series will allow you to see who the heroes, villains, and everyone in between were before the show started. It’ll also give you a chance to see what changed and how the series may conclude.
