Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs Street Fighter comic book coming soon

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs Street Fight comic book miniseries is coming, but who’s involved and what will the fights be?
There are certain characters and teams that helped mold the pop culture world we see today. Among them are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the video game Street Fighter. TMNT became one of the most popular comic book to cartoons of all time. Street Fighter made the 1-on-1 fighting genre what it is. Without both, the comic book and video game industries would look vastly different. Decades after their individual debuts, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Street Fighter will fight in an IDW Publishing comic book.
Over the last decade, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have crossed over with various other characters and franchises more than a few times. Among them is a comic book with the Power Rangers, Batman, and DC Comics’ Injustice 2 video game. Now, IDW is putting the Ninja Turtles against the characters of Street Fighter. This comic book miniseries could have the fight we never knew we needed.
As reported by Screen Rant, the story starts like a typical comic book when two unfamiliar teams meet. They immediately start fighting. Eventually they see that they need each other and team-up to solve a problem. Fans can guess that Bison and Shredder are the ones causing all of the mischief. They’re the most popular antagonists for each group.
If the comic book cover is any indication, the initial fights will be Chun-Li vs. Michelangelo, Ryu vs. Leonard, Ken Masters vs. Donatello, and Guile vs. Raphael. It’ll be interesting to see who wins the matches. Also, what are the rules? Are the Ninja Turtles allowed to use their weapons? If Ryu can use a fireball and Vega can use his claws, why couldn’t Leonardo use a katana?
Fans also have to wonder what other character fights are going to happen? Will April O’Neil show up and get into it with Chun-Li or Vega? What happens if Akuma shows up? Is the better fight between Shredder or Splinter? We’ll have to wait and see what the creative team of Paul Allor, Ariel Medel, and Sarah Myer come up with.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs Street Fighter is scheduled to be released in May of 2023. Stay tuned to Bam Smack Pow for more on the series when the news comes out.
