Who are the best couples in comic book history? We have plenty to choose from, but these romances are something special.

When readers think of comic books, their thoughts normally go to action. Superpowered beings punching, kicking and zapping each other all around the universe and beyond. However, romance is a huge part of comics. All of the iconic comic book heroes have or had someone they love. For example, Green Arrow has Black Canary and Sue Storm has Reed Richards. Those two couples could be the benchmark for love in comic books. They stay together no matter how bad things get because they never disrespect each other and always find a way to make things work.

Coming up are fifteen of the best comic book romances of all time. Some of them are more recognized while others you may not know. Let’s begin with one of the more popular romances.

15. Batman and Catwoman

Comic book: Batman/Catwoman

As of now, Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle aren’t a couple. If fans of the couple are honest with themselves, they know Bat and Cat will never be together. It’s kind of sad. Their relationship is one of the more recognizable.

Thankfully, Tom King gave fans Batman/Catwoman. A comic book series where they got married, had a daughter and lived a long life. If they never get together in the comics, fans will always have this. It’s a series that highlights their romance and what makes them great.
