8. Cyclops and Jean Grey

Comic book: X-Men (Hickman, Duggan)

Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Jean Grey have been together since they had pimples. Jean had her secret kisses with Logan and Cyclops had a mental affair with Emma Frost. How did they get past those times? By understanding each other and constantly communicating.

In the recent X-Men comics, Jean and Cyclops seem to be freer than ever. It even appears that Wolverine was part of their relationship. Things like this only happen when two people understand each other. Jean and Cyclops respect all the things they’re into and make things work. There isn’t a couple like them in Marvel Comics.

7. Rogue and Gambit

comic book: X-Men Gold No. 30, Mr. and Mrs. X

Rogue and Gambit were the biggest “will they or won’t they” in comic books. Whenever things were going well, something happened to ruin their relationship. Rogue’s inability to touch people and Gambit’s secrets didn’t help. The unfortunate events in X-Men Gold changed things. Kitty Pryde and Colossus were supposed to get married. Instead of the night becoming a complete loss, Gambit took the opportunity to propose to Rogue. She accepted and they got hitched.

Recently, Rogue and Gambit have been having separate adventures. Rogue was voted onto the X-Men. Some partners would be upset by this but not Gambit. Not only that, he was proud of her. When Gambit had to go and do his own thing or work with Betsy Braddock’s team, Rogue supported him. That’s the key to their love. No matter what happens, they prop each other up. Hopefully this doesn’t become a romance that ends. It’s too good to be ruined.
