2. Luke Cage and Jessica Jones

Comic book: Alias, New Avengers Annual No. 1

The relationship between Luke Cage and Jessica Jones is one of the healthiest. No matter what they went through, they stayed together. The one time they were apart wasn’t either of their faults. Even then, Jessica ended up understanding what Luke was doing, as did Luke. They were both protecting their daughter. There was a time when Luke was cold towards her and she called him out on it. This showed understanding, admitting when they were wrong, and an overall sense of taking accountability for their actions.

To this day, both Luke and Jessica are supportive and trust each other. During Devil’s Reign Jessica supported Luke when he ran for Mayor of New York. Whenever Jessica is working a case, Luke may worry, but he trust’s Jessica’s instincts. It’s beautiful that they’ve stayed together and never tore each other down.

1. Superman and Lois

Comic book: Take your pick

Superman and Lois Lane are the epitome of love. As a world renowned reporter, Lois Lane could have exposed Clark Kent for being Superman. She would be set for life with money and have won every award a reporter can. But she didn’t. Meanwhile, Superman is looked at as a god but treats Lois like his equal. He even admits that she’s better and smarter than him with certain things. Not even death could stop their love. What other couples can say that?

Unlike classic comic book relationships like Peter Parker and Mary Jane, fans would stop buying certain comics if Lois and Clark broke up. It’s the one relationship that should never end. There isn’t a person in DC Comics that’s a better match for these two. This is more proof that two people can be from different worlds and still love each other.
