The Mandalorian cast: Who plays Gorian Shard in The Mandalorian season 3?

The Mandalorian season 3 premiere introduces many new alien creatures to the Mandalorian cast including Gorian Shard, who is played by a very well-known actor.

The Mandalorian season 3 is officially streaming now on Disney Plus and there is a lot to love about the season 3 premiere, which wastes no time in picking up where the action last left off and kicking off what promises to be an amazing new season.

In the season premiere, Mando sets out on a mission to make his way back to Mandalore in order to redeem himself after taking off his helmet and breaking the sacred oath of the Mandalorians. Before doing so, he needs to recruit some backup which leads him to Nevarro where he is reunited with Greef Karga. We learn he’s returned to Nevarro in hopes of repairing IG-11, as he needs a droid to accompany him on his mission and IG-11 is the only droid he’s ever trusted.

Of course, this being The Mandalorian, his journey back to Nevarro includes a few bumps in the road including one in the form of some pirates who come to town and stir up some trouble. After Mando helps Karga bring them down, he goes about his journey before finally leaving the district.

When leaving, Mando encounters the pirates once again who attempt to lure him to their leader Gorian Shard. Fortunately for Mando, he’s able to shake the pirates but the encounter seems to suggest their paths might cross again in the future.

It’s an interaction that also helps us to be formally introduced to Gorian Shard, a large alien being with an intimating presence who happens to be played by a well-known actor who is no stranger to this genre.
