The Boys season 4 is not coming to Amazon Prime Video in March 2023

The Boys season 4 isn’t premiering on Amazon Prime Video this month, but news should hopefully be coming soon. 

The Boys on Amazon Prime Video has continued to exceed anyone’s expectations. According to  Nielsen ratings, it was the 11th most streamed show of 2022 and the most watched superhero show of 2022 as well. Accomplishing one of those feats is great; both of them together is an outstanding accomplishment. It’s no wonder it’s getting a spin-off later this year (Gen V).

Unfortunately, as much as we may want season 4 to debut soon, it won’t happen in March of 2023. Amazon Prime Video have already confirmed their listings for March, and The Boys season 4 is not among them.

It’s not surprising as production is still ongoing, but it can be disheartening for fans hoping for new episodes. However, even though The Boys isn’t coming to Amazon Prime Video this month, news for Gen V should be right around the corner. The first Gen V trailer was released back in December. Since then, there’s been no major news about the show. The only information came from the show’s official Twitter account when they tweeted a picture of the number 2023 with a message that said, “Our favorite set of numbers!” The page is hinting that the show is coming this year, but without a specific release window, all fans can do is wait.

There’s no reason to think that another Gen V trailer with a a more definitive release date won’t come out soon. Especially since the show should be debuting months before The Boys. Hopefully fans will get to see more about what’s going on during Gen V and not just blood and violence.

The Boys season 4 release updates

When it comes to the release of season 4 of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video, the earliest we should expect that is probably in fall or winter 2023. Some of the actors involved have started wrapping production, so that means filming could be wrapping up. With a show like The Boys though, there will likely be a lengthy period of post-production before it can be released.

In the meantime, fans should look for an announcement regarding Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the near future. He was cast in season 4 last year with no report on who he’s playing. If this writer had to guess, look for him to play Tek Knight. Tek Knight is a combination of Batman and Iron Man. Except he has a problem that’s going to get him in more trouble than Tony’s drinking. If you’re a fan of the comic book series, you know exactly what Tek Knight’s issue is.
